Beauty Tips and Tricks

3 Simple Steps to Take Your Makeup from Everyday to Holiday

For days when you don’t have time to re-do your makeup before going out, try these easy tricks to add just the right touch of holiday drama:

1 – Apply shimmer to your lips, nails or both! Nothing glams up your look quite like a touch of shimmer. Whether it’s on lips or nails, it’s a holiday must:
Our picks: Ultra Color Rich Rubies Lipstick in Radiant Ruby and Glitter Nail Enamel in Sparkling Plum.

2 – Play up your eyes with liner. If you go light on liner during the day, evening is the time to ramp it up. Define both upper and lower lashline, and use a shade that complements your eyes.
Try: Glimmersticks Eye Liners in a fun shade you wouldn’t normally wear during the day!

3 – Add a fresh coat of mascara. It’s that easy! One extra coat takes lashes from nice to WOW!
Try: Super Drama Mascara.

Mascara Tips & Tricks You Need to Know!

When it comes to making the most of your lashes, we’ve got 5 clever tips that can make all the difference:

Tip # 1 Wiggle your way to fuller looking lashes
When applying mascara, wiggle the wand at the base of lashes, then pull the wand up and through lashes. It’s the mascara placed near the roots (not the tips) that gives the illusion of fuller, longer lashes.

Tip#2 No more clumps!
To keep lashes from clumping, invest in a lash comb and remove any clumps by combing through after applying. Or…clean off excess mascara before applying, by gently wiping wand with a tissue. This eliminates any clumps or blobs before you start.

Tip# 3 A real eye opener
Use an eyelash curler to give the appearance of wider, more curvaceous lashes. Then top with your favourite mascara.

Tip# 4 Prevent smudges
Sometimes the eye creams and moisturizers we use can cause mascara to smudge. Prevent this by lightly powdering your lid and under eye area before applying mascara.

Tip# 5 The secret to the 2nd coat
Love the look of two coats of mascara, but hate the clumps? The trick is to apply the 2nd coat before the first coat is dry. You’ll have to work quickly, but with a little practice, it will all be worth it!

Ready to try out these tips for yourself? Then give new Super Drama Mascara a try. Its unique fan brush and formula make every lash fuller, longer and more dramatic. Plus, it’s smudge and flake resistant too.

 BEAUTY TIPS FOR LIPS

Liptricks
Use lip pencils, gloss and concealer to transform lips.

1. TO MAKE COLOR LAST LONGER
Apply lip liner to entire lip area, use a lip brush to gently blend any hard lines around the edges and then apply a gloss or a lipstick.

2. TO TRANSFORM A LIPSTICK SHADE
Use a lip pencil as a base for lipstick to make it look browner, deeper or redder, depending on the shade of the pencil. For a shinier finish, use lipstick as a base for gloss.

3. TO MAKE LIPS LOOK FULLER
Apply a highlighter slightly above the natural contour of the Cupid's bow. Apply desired shade of lipcolor. Using a lip liner in a shade that matches lipcolor, follow the outer dimensions of the lips and trace around the lip line. Dab gloss on the center of lower lip.

4. TO MAKE LIPS LOOK THINNER
Blend foundation or concealer lightly over the edges of your lips. Dust translucent powder over the area. Using a nude lip liner, outline lips within the natural lip line. Fill lips with a pale shade of lipstick.

BEAUTY TIPS FOR EYES

Optical Illusions
Play with light and dark shades of eyeshadow to enhance the size of eyes or to bring eyes further or closer apart.

1. BRING WIDE-SET EYES CLOSER TOGETHER
Apply darker colors at the inner half of your lids, closest to the nose.

2. MAKE CLOSE-SET EYES APPEAR WIDER APART
Highlight inner corners with a light flesh-tone liner and shimmery pearl shadow.

3. MAKE SMALL EYES LOOK BIGGER
Line lower lids with a nude or very light color liner to make the whites of your eyes brighter.

4. MAKE EYES REALLY POP
Add a pale iridescent shadow in the center of lids and line lower inner lids with a white liner.

Face Shaping:
You can use foundation or pressed powder to accentuate your best features and minimize the others. All you need are 3 different shades: Base – a shade that matches your skin exactly.Highlight – a shade lighter. Contour – a shade darker. The Highlight shade brings features forward. The Contour shade makes them recede.
NARROW YOUR NOSE
Highlight down the center of your nose to the width that you want to appear, then place contour on either side of the nose. Blend well.

SOFTEN A HEAVY JAW LINE
Shade around square jawline to make that area recede and create a more oval shape. Blend borders with a base shade.

GET HIGH CHEEKBONES
Shade round cheeks to make them recede, then highlight top of cheekbones to make them more prominent and lifted like those of a model. Blend base to borders…beautiful!
